Northeast Indiana Public Radio is the licensee for WBOI 89.1 NPR News & Jazz, and Classical WBNI 94.1. NIPR is a 501(c)3 non-profit, charitable organization.
The mission of Northeast Indiana Public Radio is to engage our community with content that enriches the human experience. Programming is produced and supported by staff as well as over 80 volunteers. Over 2,800 households in Indiana and elsewhere are donating "members" of NIPR.
Programming is also underwritten by local businesses, and 10% of our budget comes from the Corporation for Public Broadcasting.
WBOI 89.1 NPR News & Jazz broadcasts programs from National Public Radio (NPR). Additional providers include American Public Media, Public Radio International, PRX, WFIU in Bloomington, and WFYI in Indianapolis. WBOI airs over 30 hours of local programming each week, most of which is recorded and produced in WBOI's studios.
WBOI is available on the radio at 89.1FM, via HD radio at 89.1-1 (Channel 1), streaming online at NIPR.fm, and in the NPR App for iPhone and Android. WBKE at Manchester University in North Manchester broadcasts WBOI programming at 89.5fm and online at wbke.manchester.edu from midnight to 4 p.m. daily.
Classical WBNI 94.1 is a 24-hour classical music station, offering over 30 hours of live, local music each week. In addition WBNI airs 7 symphonies from around the world, as well as the MET Opera and the American Opera Series.

PRX Public Radio Remix is an experimental 24-hour story stream that showcases pieces from PRX.org. It's purpose is to develop new approaches to public radio formats and sound. PRX Public Radio Remix is available online at NIPR.fm, or via HD radio at 89.1-3 (Channel 3).
