Since joining NIPR in March 2011, Sean has worked to raise the news profile of WBOI by increasing its presence at public meetings, speeches and events, enhancing community relationships, and bringing WBOI to the national stage by placing local stories on NPR flagship shows and APM's Marketplace Morning Report. Sean is the local host of Morning Edition and former co-host of Midday Matters.

Arts United introduces consolidated box office

Arts United introduced its new ArtsTix Community Box Office Friday.

Five of Fort Wayne's arts organizations will soon share a single box office and a new online presence.

At a media event Friday morning, Arts United President Jim Sparrow announced the creation of the new ArtsTix Community Box Office.The system will allow patrons to buy tickets for the Fort Wayne Ballet, Philharmonic, Civic Theatre, Youtheare and Dance Collective at a single ticketing location. The initiative will also add online ticketing for those organizations.

Kroger closes N. Anthony Scott's; announces new investments

Officials from the Kroger grocery chain announced today the company will not reopen its North Anthony location in Fort Wayne, which was shut down due to major structural issues.

Earlier this year, several public officials lobbied to keep the store open, but the company ultimately deemed the problems beyond repair. The pharmacy adjacent to the North Anthony Scott's will also close.

In a statement, Kroger Central Division President Bob Moeder said employees at the North Anthony store were told Friday morning they could transfer to other locations.
