Interview: Janet Napolitano Talks Immigration Reform

As the U.S. Senate wraps up debate on a comprehensive immigration reform bill, members of President Barack Obama's administration are going to the public to drum up support for the bill as it heads to the House. Republican House leaders say they’re in no rush to take up the measure.

One of those administration officials is Homeland Security Secretary Janet Napolitano, who says a comprehensive bill will ease deficit tensions, help the economy and provide a fair way for undocumented immigrants to become U.S. citizens.

She talked with WBOI's Sean Bueter this week.
